Propane vehicles can go farther between fill-ups and have a much shorter refueling time than do natural gas systems. Propane's pumping rate, 10 to 12 gallons per minute, is comparable to that of gasoline. And because propane is delivered through a sealed system, thereby protecting the environment, a simple screwed connection is used. This means you spend less time at the pump and have more time to do the things you want.
Also, the smaller size of propane tanks relative to compressed natural gas tanks means less weight and more payload, making propane vehicles highly cost- and fuel-efficient. And the operating costs associated with propane fleets typically range from 5 percent to 30 percent less than those of gasoline fleets, saving you more money*.
