Reducing LP-Gas Fleet Emissions, Fuel Waste, and Operating Costs and Enhancing Employee Health and Safety through use of the Maximus Overfill Detection Instrument (Docket 12408)
Determination of the efficacy of an overfill detection instrument (ODI) for propane-fueled automotive vehicles. Tests evaluate the devices' accuracy in signaling when the tank filling operation is complete. Tests also measure evaporative emissions through outage gauges during on-board refilling and determine if the device can minimize these emissions.
Acoustic Stop-Fill Instrument for LP-Gas Tanks (Docket 11653)
Development of a noninvasive, sonic liquid stop-fill sensor for LP gas tanks. Building and conducting of lab tests, field tests, and a lab review of six beta prototypes.

Development of a model that predicts failures of propane first- and second-stage vapor regulators. Includes summarization of literature, gathering of regulators for testing and analysis, development of a test plan, and reporting of results.

Compilation of a database that compares relief valve and cylinder performance and determines failure safety factors. Testing and evaluation of the performance of 20 lb. cylinders, and evaluation of inspection requirements.
