Stationary

R&D Activities > Engine Fuel > Stationary

Stationary engines drive irrigation pumps and other industrial or agricultural applications. Propane is a clean-burning, portable fuel that is well-suited to serve the needs of stationary engines in their often remote locations.

Stationary research focuses on the development and testing of stationary engines for off-road uses, particularly agricultural irrigation systems and standby power generation.

Projects

Emission Testing of Heavy Duty Off-Road Irrigation Pump Engines (Docket 10097)
Testing of General Motors 5.7L propane-fueled engines to determine if propane is an effective substitute for diesel in water pumping applications.
