90% Energy Efficient Cogeneration at a Pennsylvania Hydroponic Greenhouse (Docket 12340)
Use of a 5kWe/14kWth CHP system at a 3,000 sq. ft. hydroponic greenhouse in Pennsylvania to produce electricity, heat water during cooler months, and fertilize crops with the CO2 generated by the system. At the core of the cogeneration unit is a Marathon Ecopower propane engine equipped with a selective catalytic reducer to treat exhaust gas.
LPG Genset w/ Solar Hybrid Power Station for 2007 WLPGF Display (Docket 12337)
Display of new LPG genset solar propane hybrid system at the 2007 World LP Gas Association Forum in Cape Town, South Africa. The system would operates at 10kWh per day with ~2kW extended output capacity, 4kW peak power for five minutes every hour, and surge capability sufficient to start a small well pump.
Propane Distributed Generation Demonstration Program (Docket 12336)
Support of four to six successful propane DG demonstration projects to move them closer to commercialization and raise overall awareness of propane DG equipment. Projects will be selected through a formal solicitation process.

Investigation of Propane-Genset Hybrid Power Systems for Rural Tribal Communities (Docket 12264)
Investigation of the technical and economic viability of propane-genset hybrid solar and wind power systems for remote, tribal community locations. Includes a study to document the service and installation requirements of these systems in a typical tribal community and potential development of the necessary elements for an onsite demonstration of propane-genset hybrid power systems.
Propane-Fueled Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Systems for Residential Applications (Docket 12200)
Study evaluating the performance of a propane-fueled CHP systems and comparing these systems with electric heat pumps, as well as conventional vapor compression A/C systems using propane furnaces for heating. Includes an extensive review of existing CHP technology and development of theoretical models, supporting experiments, and uncertainty analysis.
Climate Energy Propane Warm Air Micro-CHP System (Docket 12199)
Quantification of the performance, economic, and environmental benefits of the Honda propane micro-CHP system. Documentation of the installation process for the propane micro-CHP system in comparison to conventional high-efficiency warm air furnaces, including interconnection requirements and local permitting and approval processes.
