Propaneville Farms Virtual Farm Tour Wins Gold Addy Award
WASHINGTON (February 25, 2011) — The Propane Education & Research Council’s (PERC) Propaneville Farms virtual farm tour received a Gold Addy Award in an interactive media category from the Advertising Club of St. Louis.
PERC developed the virtual tour to show the latest research on uses for propane on America’s farms and ranches. The tour features propane equipment in six areas of the farm, including weed control, power for engines, and pest control. View the winning farm tour at www.agpropane.com.
“We are thrilled that the Propaneville Farms virtual farm tour was recognized for its innovative design,” said PERC Director of Agriculture Programs Mark Leitman. “We designed the website to be engaging so visitors would want to learn more about new propane-fueled equipment for the farm.”
A Gold Addy Award recognizes the highest level of creative excellence in media. The Propaneville Farms virtual farm tour will now go on to compete against other Gold Addy Award winners in the American Advertising Federation Addy Awards district competition, including winners from Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska. The virtual farm tour was designed by Osborn & Barr.
PERC strives to benefit the U.S. agriculture and propane industries by developing and improving propane-fueled equipment and programs that increase farm productivity, reduce environmental impact, and enhance safety.
