PERC’s Propane Technology Review 2010 Wins Top Honors

 

WASHINGTON (February 11, 2011) — Propane Technology Review 2010, a report on the technology innovation program of the Propane Education & Research Council, was named a Distinguished Technical Communication, the highest honor Cover of Propane Technology Reportin the  annual  publications competition held by the Washington, D.C., chapter of the Society for Technical Communications.

Using a market-based approach and effective design, the document highlights PERC’s research and development achievements in the residential and commercial, agriculture, autogas, and operational areas over the past two years.

“Propane Technology Review 2010 demonstrates the real impact of our approach to technology development, and it encourages researchers, manufacturers, and other organizations to think about new ways to use propane,” said Greg Kerr, PERC director of research and development. “This award recognizes PERC’s commitment to driving innovation through effective outreach and partnership building.”

The Propane Technology Review 2010 includes visual elements that communicate the potential impact of new technologies on target propane markets. It also features propane-fueled products including the Generac EcoGen premium genset, the Freewatt Plus micro-CHP, new irrigation engines, and the Roush Ford F-series trucks and E-series vans.
The document, which has been distributed at industry trade shows nationwide and is available for public download, is now in the running for the society’s International Summit Awards, to be given out later this year.
