Propane Council Invites Industry to Serve on Advisory Committees
Panels to Help Implement Council's Main Missions

At its June meeting, the Propane Education & Research Council voted to establish three advisory committees which will be responsible for working on the implementation of programs in its three mission areas-consumer education, safety and training, and research and development. Committee member nominations will be submitted to the Council at its next meeting, September 20-21 in Washington, D.C.
Each committee will consist of approximately 12 people. Anyone with knowledge and experience related to the following areas should submit their interest to serve in writing no later than September 3. The attached one-page sign-up sheet must be filled out and faxed or mailed to the Council in Washington, D.C.
Consumer Education Advisory Committee: The committee will be responsible for working with Council staff and the Council's communications firm to implement a public relations and marketing program for the propane industry. For more information, contact Kate Caskin, vice president of communications.
Safety and Training Advisory Committee: The committee will be responsible for reviewing and overseeing current Council-funded safety and training projects, establishing priorities, budgets and timelines, and making recommendations for future safety and training grant requests as well as researching and identifying additional projects to recommend to the Council. Research and Development Advisory Committee: The committee will assist in identifying and evaluating research projects for funding. The work of the committee is expected to greatly accelerate the Council's research and development activities. For more information, contact Roy Willis, president.
