Washington, D.C.- The Propane Education & Research Council (Propane Council) is pleased to announce the availability of $250,000 to fund up to five propane vehicle demonstration grant projects. To obtain an application contact Jill Hamilton, Sustainable Energy Strategies, Inc. at 703-322-4484 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Applicants must submit proposals no later than June 16. Proposals must include at least a 50% cost-share in the form of cash or in-kind services or equipment.
The purpose of the vehicle demonstration program is to identify and make public the air quality benefits of using propane, expand the awareness of propane as a transportation fuel, and demonstrate the performance of propane fueled vehicles. Examples of past projects include funding for card readers, refueling equipment, incremental costs of vehicles and emissions related testing.
This project is co-sponsored by the Propane Education & Research Council and the Propane Vehicle Council.
