Washington, D.C. - The Propane Education & Research Council invites the propane industry to review and comment on the proposed revisions to the Policies, Rules and Procedures (PRP) which guides the activities of the Council. The PRP document is divided into several sections covering administrative aspects of the Council, meetings, assessment collection, and grant and state rebate policies.
The Council has made revisions to the June 1998 document for consideration by the industry. The proposed revisions have been made based on policy decisions approved by the Council since the creation of the PRP.

The Propane Education & Research Council was authorized by the U.S. Congress with the passage of the Public Law 104-284, the Propane Education and Research Act (PERA), signed into law on October 11, 1996. The mission of the Council is to promote the safe, efficient use of odorized propane gas as a preferred energy source through investments in research, safety, and consumer education initiatives.
