Propane Industry Seeks Fourth Annual PROPANE Exceptional Energy Fleet Award Applications


Washington, D.C. (February 13, 2004) — Nominations are now being accepted for the 2004 PROPANE Exceptional Energy Fleet Awards.  The awards recognize companies and organizations for making the sound business and environmental decision to use propane motor fuel to power their vehicles.

Winners will join propane industry representatives at the U.S. Department of Energy’s 10th National Clean Cities Conference & Expo in Ft. Lauderdale, FL (May 3-5) where they will accept their award during a special ceremony.  In addition, the award winners’ accomplishments will be highlighted at the show and promotions will continue throughout the year.

This is the fourth year of the PROPANE Exceptional Energy Fleet Awards.  Winners will be selected from the following categories:

  • Government Fleet
  • Private Fleet
  • Bus Fleet
  • Innovative Fleet*

*Innovative Fleet—Any fleet that is successfully using propane motor fuel to capitalize on the business advantages that propane offers.
